Call for Designers & Production Members

Arcade Comedy Theater is seeing non-union BIPOC production members and designers for our fall production.

STAGE MANAGER 

Arcade Comedy Theater is seeking a non-AEA Stage Manager for work on our fall production of The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa FastHorse, directed by Linda Haston. BIPOC and LGBTQ+ stage managers highly encouraged to apply. 

Compensation is a stipend of $350 for rehearsals running October-November 2021 with additional pay of $25 per performance (9 planned performances totaling $225). 

All production team members will be required to show proof of vaccination. All rehearsals and performances will follow Arcade Comedy Theater’s health and safety guidelines (https://www.arcadecomedytheater.com/covid-19/).

The primary duties include general stage management, rehearsal scheduling, rehearsal reporting and assisting director Linda Haston.

SCENIC DESIGNER

Arcade Comedy Theater is seeking a Set Designer for work on our fall production of The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa FastHorse, directed by Linda Haston. BIPOC and LGBTQ+ stage managers highly encouraged to apply.  

Compensation is a stipend of $200, with an estimated maximum of 20 hrs of work. October-November, 2021.

All production team members will be required to show proof of vaccination. All rehearsals and performances will follow Arcade Comedy Theater’s health and safety guidelines (https://www.arcadecomedytheater.com/covid-19/).

The primary work involves dressing, designing, and building a “school classroom” set on the Arcade Comedy Theater stage, procuring or creating background decor, and collaborating with the director and the production manager. No large construction or set pieces necessary. There is an additional budget set aside for materials. The work would be overseen by the production manager, director, assistant to the director, and Arcade technical director.
